The parent speed lock is the feature I didn't know I needed — I can keep it at 3 MPH while my youngest is learning, then bump it to 8 when my older one takes over. Rubber front tires actually grip the driveway instead of sliding on turns.
My two kids ride together on this thing every afternoon, and the parent speed lock is what sold me — I keep it at 5 MPH and they still have a blast. The rubber front tires grip the driveway way better than I expected, even on a slight slope.
I was worried about the 8 MPH setting being too much, but the parent speed lock lets me cap it at 3 until they get comfortable. The rubber front tires actually grip the driveway, so it turns without sliding. Two kids fit fine and it's become the after-school favorite.
